The Best Is Yet To Come - OUT NOW!
My sixth novel The Best Is Yet To Come is out NOW! It’s available in paperback, e-book and audio book.
It’s a story about two neighbours who are both struggling with finding their place in the world. For Izzy, motherhood hasn’t been what she was expecting but how do you admit that you’re finding it so hard? Pensioner Arthur’s stubborn streak means he’s pushing away those who want to help. Perhaps if they both let others in they may learn that the best is yet to come.
I’ve been blown away by the lovely early reviews from bookbloggers and authors who received an advance copy.
‘Uplifting, warm and full of heart’ Cathy Bramley
‘I’ve never related to a character more’ The Unmumsy Mum ‘
Heartwarming and full of hope’ Clare Pooley
‘A wonderful, heartfelt contemporary novel that will leave you smiling’ Netgalley reviewer
‘A comforting yet emotional read of pure escapism’ My Weekly
Having such kind praise and five star reviews certainly helps with my anxiety levels as life is a little out of control at the moment. All bookshops and libraries are currently closed because of lockdown in England, so it’s a VERY strange time to have a book out. This means that your support makes even more of a difference!
I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has bought a copy or recommended it to a friend. You can currently get the paperback for just £6.39 and FREE UK delivery from Hive (plus this helps to support local bookshops!). If you fancy a signed copy then the kind folks at Kenilworth Books and Warwick Books can sort you out.
Sadly, I won’t be celebrating publication day with a nice meal out or a glass of fizz in a bar with friends (boo, COVID) but I will be celebrating at home with John and my children. I never imagined writing one novel, let alone six! It’s a day to feel a real sense of pride and to make some plans for a BIG party when this is all over!
Have you got your copy yet?

What A Difference A Year Makes
This time last year I was battling a hangover after welcoming in the New Year as a skint, single and jobless 30 year old at a local pub with my dad.
How Do You Do?
Oh hello. I don’t think we’ve been properly introduced. My name’s Katy but you may know me as the Backpacking Bridget Jones, although I have slightly better taste in knickers.
